The new me just turned one

Without me realizing it at once, a year has passed since the day I quit as a UE fanatic. It crossed my mind before the UAAP Final Four because it was about the same time--just days before the final elimination game last year when the disillusionment charm has been lifted off me--but the thought went away as quickly as it came.

I was right, it really is liberating. I said it moments after I said "I'm done" and I have never, not once in 384 days have I regretted saying it.

It is a good thing I have never seen anybody from the team since. Am I still mad? No. I don't think I ever was. I simply was disappointed. That's two different things.

I guess that's how it is. When you've reached your saturation point, letting go is that easy. I don't even have withdrawal symptoms like I used to have whenever I go out of town and I have no way of watching their games. And there's definitely no itching to watch the games live this time.

Funny but if there's something I miss, it's the Araneta. And Starbucks Araneta. Babaw 'no?

I really think I have moved on.
